The Punctuality Machine, Or, A Steampunk Libretto
My steampunk comedy mashup of aliens and time travel first appeared in Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Issue #173. (BCS is a professional, Qualifying Market for SFWA membership.)
The story was later chosen for a special large-cast reading for the BCS podcast. You can hear the full episode here. The lead voice actors were fantastic, and I got to play multiple characters, which was a blast.
To our delight, that performance was a 2016 Parsec Award Finalist for Best Speculative Fiction Story: Large Cast.
I’ve also directed two live performances of this comedy: a very fun off-the-cuff reading at a Capclave conference with fellow SF authors, and a full-blown production (months of rehearsals) with my children’s co-op.
The reading led to a fun interview with Weightless Books.
Finally, this is the feature story in my short story collection, The Punctuality Machine: And Other Tales of Time Dysfunction.
The Catalyst Collection
For this upcoming collection of my science fiction and fantasy stories, each piece will appear as a separate, inexpensive short.
I always love working with my designer, but for this series, he really outdid himself. So gorgeous.

Kids’ Books
My wife Beth and I are the lucky parents of six (yes, six) beautiful children. Our oldest is just starting college, and our youngest is just getting his teeth.
I’ve read them a lot of kids’ books over the years, and perhaps it was inevitable that I’d feel compelled to contribute to the pile.
These are in development, but most are fully illustrated and nearly ready for publication. For sneak peeks at some illustrations, see my page on art direction.
